Engine Co 9 runs 3rd Working Fire in 2 Days

Working Basement Fire - 1st Arriving Engine
This morning not long after 1am the Box assignment was struck for 729 Windsor Ave, Folcroft for the Dwelling Fire. On the ticket were Companies 01(Folcroft), 05(Glenolden), 09(Sharon Hill), RIT-43(Holmes), and Mercy EMS Units. Engine9-2 with 5 quickly marked up and while enroute Chief 01-9B arrived on location and reported smoke showing from the residence with a possible basement fire. Engine 9-2 dropped a 3" supply line in on the way into the scene. Engine 9-2's crews stretched a 200ft 1 3/4 handline, established a water supply, and laddered the dwelling. Crews located a fire in the basement of the structure and quickly extinguished same. Crews from Tower-5 peformed Truck Co. Ops while Telesquirt 1 took position in the rear. Chief 01-9 had command of the incident. Engine 09-3 also took position in the rear, and Engine 9-1 and Utility 9 were on location at the hydrant as well. A total of 15 Firefighters from Sharon Hill operated on scene for approx. 1hr before returning to service.
