Sharon Hill Fire Company - Station 9

Storm Brings Busy Night for crews, Including 2 Alarmer

October 28th, 2012
Stormy weather brought multiple runs for Company 9 in the course of three days. During the storm Company 9 responded to 3 wire’s calls, 1 Assist Police, 3 Building fires, 4 fire alarm systems, and a gas leak. One of the building fires ending up being a 2 alarm fire with entrapment. While responding to another call Engine 09-1 was re-routed as an Engine Company on a working fire with entrapment assignment that Companies 06 & 42 were on location with. Engine 09-1 quickly arrived on scene and staged per command. Command switched the roles of Engine Co 9 to be RIT instead of as an Engine, while the regular RIT was placed in service for firefighting. A 2nd Alarm was struck out by command shortly after.
